How to Build a Garden Toolbox

Recommended tools:
—Carpenter's hammer
—Hand or circular saw
—Carpenter's square
—Line Level
—Wood glue
—Carpenter's level
—Tape measure
—Router with dado bit

  1. Cut wood to cut list specifications.
  2. Make dado cuts in lid and tray using a router with a dado bit.
  3. Drill holes for tray handle.
  4. Put eyes in lid and bottom box ends.
  5. Glue lid and tray pieces together.
  6. Assemble bottom box using 5D nails.
  7. Glue blocks into inside corners of bottom box.
  8. Place sliders in 8" from top.
  9. Put hinges on box.
  10. Attach lid.
  11. Cut chain to chosen length and attach to lid and bottom box.
  12. Attach hasp.
