Development, R. Hamilton Schirmer, Joins DIYonline.com's Board of Directors
TUCSON, Ariz. -- DIYonline.com announced today the
appointment of R. Hamilton ("Ham") Schirmer, Vice President of Business
Development for Masco Corporation (NYSE -- MAS), to its board of directors.
DIYonline.com nationally launched its new interactive Web site on March
6. DIYonline.com gives Do-It-Yourself consumers the ability to custom
design and plan home improvement projects from the Web site, www.DIYonline.com.

design projects offered to consumers from the Web site include: Kitchen
Designer, Deck Designer, Sprinkler Designer, Utility Shelf Designer,
WorkBench Designer, Craftbench Designer, Gazebo Designer, Fence Designer,
Paint Calculator, Wall Paper Calculator, Ceiling Tile Calculator, Bath
Designer, Mini Greenhouse Designer, Garden Toolbox Designer, Bookshelf
Designer, Deck Bench, Designer Coffee Table Designer, Table Terrarium
Designer, Floor Tile Calculator, and Concrete Calculator. The company
will continue to add new project software to the Web site.
ABOUT HAM SCHIRMER
Mr. Schirmer joined Masco Corporation in 1992. In
his current position as Vice President of Business Development he is
responsible for managing the mergers and acquisition activities of the
company. Prior to this position, Schirmer served as Masco's Vice President
of Corporate Marketing. Schirmer began his career in advertising and
marketing more than 30 years ago. He worked for the Chrysler Corporation
as corporate advertising manager and subsequently became Dodge car and
truck ad manager and was promoted to Corporate Director of Merchandising
in 1978. In 1980 he joined Campbell-Ewald Advertising as Executive Vice
President, Director of Client Services.
Schirmer has held prestigious positions with several
advertising organizations, including serving on the board of the American
Association of Advertising Agencies. He is currently on the board of
directors of Planit/Auto-Graph, a UK based kitchen design software firm,
and the board of the Michigan Myesthenia Gravis Association. Schirmer
is a graduate of Denison University, located in Granville, Ohio, with
a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy.
DIYonline.com's headquarters are based in Tucson,
Ariz., with a sales and marketing office located in Lexington, KY. The
company employs over 40 personnel in both offices and anticipates continuing
to hire personnel throughout the year. DIYonline.com provides Internet
