CLOSETMAID INTRODUCES ONLINE 3D PROGRAM FOR
EASY CUSTOM CLOSET DESIGN, PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION
Ocala, FL -- ClosetMaid, the leading manufacturer of wire shelving and storage products, presents their groundbreaking online closet design program, 20/20.

The new 3D Custom Closet Design program is accessible on ClosetMaid's website, www.closetmaid.com. Utilizing the latest advances in 3D design technology, the online design center is ClosetMaid's boldest move yet to facilitate retail sales by creating online tools. This e-resource will allow consumers to custom design their closets online in a three dimensional virtual environment. A parts list can then be printed and taken to a local home center to purchase the components, or the order can be e-mailed to participating retailers for easy pick up.

The ClosetMaid website will provide consumers an easy to use tool to custom design a storage solution for their particular needs, states Will Rose, website designer at ClosetMaid. The virtual 3D environment significantly helps users to realistically view their closet, making designing more accurate.

Easy pull-down menus allow users to pick from a broad inventory of products. The products can then be placed into the virtual closet. As the products are placed, they automatically comply with encoded rules that prevent users from incorrectly placing products in places that would be impractical or impossible in real life.

For example, the drawer system can not be placed too close to a wall that would hamper the opening of the drawers.

Once the closet has been designed, consumers can virtually walk through their closet, viewing it from any angle to make sure the design is complete. The parts printout includes all necessary hardware and small accessories, so everything for the closet is picked up in one trip to the store.

ClosetMaid's world headquarters are located at 650 South West 27th Avenue in Ocala, Fla. For more product or corporate information, please call 1-800-874-0008 or visit the ClosetMaid Web site at www.closetmaid.com.
