DIYONLINE.COM NAMES FRAN W. ANDERSON AS VICE PRESIDENT OF SALES & MARKETING

Former President of Leading Kitchen & Bath Design Software Company Joins New Interactive Do-It-Yourself Home Improvement Web Site

LEXINGTON, Ky. -- DIYonline.com, a new Internet Web site founded to provide consumers with the ability to custom design and plan Do-It-Yourself projects online, announced today that Fran W. Anderson has been hired as Vice President of Sales & Marketing. DIYonline.com now has established a local office to take advantage of Lexington's growing technology commerce. According to the company's president, Michael Heisler, DIYonline.com plans to hire a full compliment of sales and marketing staff for the Lexington office in early 2000.

"I'm very excited about the opportunity to expand our office and tap into Lexington's growing pool of technical and sales personnel," said Anderson. "I think the fact that we are a successful Internet company, with an office here in Lexington, further validates recent surveys that named Lexington as a leading mid size city for attracting technology based companies."

Anderson, who most recently served as President of Planit-Autograph, a leading kitchen and bath design software company based in Lexington, brings more than 20 years of sales and marketing experience in the home improvement industry to DIYonline.com.

"We are fortunate to have Mr. Anderson join our executive team," said Michael H. Heisler, President and Chief Operating Officer of DIYonline.com. "We will be launching our new Web site to the market in the Spring of 2000 and Fran is an important addition for us. He will be key in developing and maintaining strategic partnerships with leading manufacturers and retailers in the home-improvement industry."

Capitalizing on the $170 billion home-improvement market, and 128 million proclaimed Do-It-Yourselfers, DIYonline.com is an interactive Web-based Do-It-Yourself network, which allows users to plan, design and ultimately purchase all components and tools necessary to complete their dream projects.

While serving as President of Planit-Autograph, Anderson directed an organization consisting of programmers, graphic artists and sales, marketing support and catalog personnel from the company's U.S. headquarters in Lexington, Ky. Prior to working for Planit-Autograph, Anderson served as President of Masco's Auto-Graph Computer Design before the company was acquired by Planit International in 1998. Anderson had worked with Masco for 10 years, having also served as Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Auto-Graph.

Anderson has a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree from the University of Kentucky and completed post study in the field of retailing at the A.B. Freeman College of Business at Tulane University. Anderson has recently been included in the 2000 edition of " Who's Who in Executives and Businesses." He is also a member of "Who's Who in America's Young Businessmen" and serves as a leader in his church and community. He is married with two daughters and a grandson.

DIYonline.com is based in Tucson, Ariz. with a sales and marketing office located in Lexington, Ky. The company currently employs over 40 personnel in both offices and anticipates continuing to hire personnel throughout the year. DIYonline.com was founded to provide online Internet users the ability to custom design and implement Do-It-Yourself projects by using the company's proprietary software tools located on its Web site.
